Web Discussions are On/Off

The On and Off options enable and disable the Web Discussion feature on the Office-extended server. If you select Off, users will not be able to add or view discussion items when their Office 9 application or web browser is directed at the Office-extended server for collaboration.

When Web Discussions are disabled, existing discussion items are maintained in the database. If Web Discussions are subsequently enabled again, the old discussion items will be viewable.
